Anything on this page is subject to change throughout the development progress of the game. We will thoroughly test and validate any feature before it goes live.

Although Heroes and Dungeons is a free-to-play game and a Heroes and Dungeons Hero is not required to play, Hero holders receive many significant benefits:

• In-game use: Hero holders can import their Hero and all their equipment into the game at character creation (or after making progress on a non-NFT character) and enjoy all the benefits associated with owning a Heroes and Dungeons Hero. (It will be added with the release)

• Earning boost: All accounts playing with a Hero NFT as their character will receive a boost to earned $GHD for themselves and their guild.

• Quests: Hero Holders can send their Hero NFT on quests to receive passive $GHD as well as intermittent loot, discussed further below.

• Renting: Heroes and Dungeons will allow their players to do more than just trade or sell their collections of weapons or treasures (or other in-game assets) that they aren’t currently using. Players can retain their assets and make passive income while allowing other players to gain their unique benefits. IQ Protocol provides the infrastructure for one player to rent out their NFTs to other players for a pre-arranged amount of time and for an agreed-upon price, benefiting both parties involved. Where stakers and lenders gain interest or income on their assets, renters gain access to whatever utility the asset represents, thereby bringing to life the use cases the assets empower.

• Loot accrual: When Heroes are sent on quests, they will bring loot back to the holder from time to time in the form of loot SFTs. These might include a skillbook, equipment piece, consumable or other item. For example, a lower level drop may be a medium health potion, while a more fortunate holder might receive a skillbook which can be consumed to learn a powerful skill, or a rare key to access a locked chest or dungeon. Each loot SFT will be able to be imported and used in Heroes and Dungeons.

• Summon Mercenaries: Heroes are required in order to Summon Mercenaries, who can be sent on Mercenary Quests or used to defend the Player's Keep.

• Early-game advantage and exclusive content: In the early game, certain content, sidequests, and battles will be tailored to players with higher-level starting equipment.

• Status: Hero Holders will receive exclusive titles and other perks to show off in the PVP mode.

Heroes and Dungeons Hero NFTs do not generate income related to the efforts of the Heroes and Dungeons development team. Everything earned with, and the value derived from, Heroes and Dungeons Hero NFTs requires the time, effort, and skill of the NFT holder.
